Labor Day fun!

So this weekend I was feeling like I needed to make up for some lost fun time we missed with our kids this summer. So I made sure that we did a few things that we have wanted to do all summer but just never found the time. First we started out Friday night having Nana,Papa, Kade & Sarah over for dinner and then we went ICE BlOCKING! It was awesome! We have a great big hill right by our house and Sarah had the perfect idea to go Ice Blocking, the kids big and little loved it! Even Papa got a few runs down the hill!

We celebrated Nana's B-Day! Happy Birthday MOM! And had a marshmellow stuffing contest! I think Kade won, with 11 large marshmellows! I only had three, No Comment!
Colby had three too!

Saturday we went down to my sister Ali's and had a good ol'fashion Barn Raisin!! I just love the laid back country life. My kids do to, they love to go down there and play with the animals and run around tate and kash! I don't know if the adults had do much fun, but we got most the barn done!! It will look great once its done.

Sunday, after church we decided to go hike Timpanogos Cave! We had tried to go Saturday but it was a 3 hour wait, so we dicided what better way to spend the sabath than together in the beautiful mountains. Anyway, I went when I was in third grade and that was the last time. Laren and my kids had never been so we were all excited to go.. . . . until we got to the 1/4 marker . . . . I didn't remember it being such a steep trail. Our kids did great , Laren and I, on the other hand, were the ones that kept saying "how much longer". The cave was awesome and we made it back to down to our car just in time for the rain to start. It made it a perfect day to hike!

And monday was the day of rest! Actually Laren built some shelves in our playroom closet and I cleaned my house. While the kids went to play with ther other mom and dad! All in all it was a pretty fun weekend.
The kids are staying busy with Gymnastics and Soccer. Colby is doing great in Soccer and loves every sweaty minute of it. Rylee likes to run and chase the boys, however she did tell this boy he was "DEAD MEAT" when he started pushing her. She cracks me up! I am so blessed to have such a great family, thanks for the fun times everyone!!

Holy cow, I think you did more in your weekend then I did in my whole summer. That's fine about the shelf just let me know when it's done. And will you also let me know how much it is before you bring it over so I can have Johnny cut you a check, thanks!
