Grandma's oldfashion Garden

On April 2nd 2008 We all said goodbye to a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Wife and Friend. Carol, Laren's mom passed away, we were all able to gather together as a family and say our good byes. It was a shock to all of us, no one expected her to go first. It was such a special week, while Dean (dad) and SherRee Laren's sister planned a beautiful funeral, we all did what we could to help and make it a celebration Carol would be proud of. She loved when her family could get together. She loved Music, Flowers, reading and writing and anything beautiful(which she could find the beauty in anything)! We all learned so much about her that week, Dean and her sisters told many stories. Sherree kept a very good journal of Carols memories and had typed them all out. It was so neat to read those thoughts. It was a beautiful service. Laren and all his siblings talked. They did a great job. I'm sure she was sitting amongst all the beautiful flowers listening to the talks and beautiful music and smiling thinking what a wonderful celebration it was. There is so much to reflect on when someone passes away, so much to reevaluate in ones life. I hope to walk away a better person for having Carol in my life and know that she will be watching over my family until we see her again. Grandma and Mom you will forever be in our hearts, Thanks for always thinking of others and teaching us all the true meaning of service. We love you and will miss you!

March Madness!

I truly never get into the whole March Madness, but his month was completely a blurr. I feel like it was yesterday when I last put up a post and now I look the whole month has gone buy! Anyway I am sorry, I am a slacker. I did through all my pictures on another slide show, there are too many of them to list them individually! So take a look at our busy month!
I would like to give a special public birthday shout out to my husband! His b-day was the 29th and because it has been such a crazy time, we didn't do a whole lot! I am sorry babe! I hope you don't feel neglected! I just want to tell you how thankful I am for you and all you do for me and our family. You are such a great dad and hubby, we love you so much! Happy Birthday!
It has been a trying couple of months for me, I had my cousin pass away last month and then one of my best freinds Marcae said goodbye to her little angel and sent her back to our heavenly father this past week also. I know heavenly father has a plan for us and we don't always get why right now, but through my freind Marcaes example of faith and strength, I have learned to put my trust in the lord. Kate was such an blessin in everyone's lives. She taught us all, faith, sacrifice and service. Marcae I admire you and brian so much and how you have dealt with a very hard situation. You are both amazing parents and I love your family. I am so thankful for the family and freindships I have. I have truly been blessed with good people in my life. I hope I take more time to thank all of you for being in my life and being grateful for all that I have each day!

So Kallee and I put together this 10 Favorite things party with some good 'ol friends that I feel like I never get to see even though we live pretty close. It was the hottest group of girls in 95!! Yes we still look as good as we did back then girls! Even better! It was so fun to get together and eat and share our favorite things with each other. Great ideas girls thanks for sharing!

Forever in our hearts!

Some of you may know on February 8, 2008 my cousin Riley passed away. He has impacted and touched so many lives and will forever be missed. He was a strikingly handsome, funny, kind, loving, giving, dad, brother, son, grandson, cousin and friend. We love and miss you riley. Its sad that these times bring us closer to gether as friends and family. It makes you realize how precious life is and how much each day mean here on earth. I am so grateful for the wonderful family I have and was so glad we could all be together at this time.

COLBY'S B-DAY

So saturday was Colby's 9th B-day! Wow how he has grown! He wanted to go bowling with his freinds, Shamon and Kaden, so we hit up Jack and Jill's and had a great time there. I think colby had his all time high score and he didn't loose his temper! Way to go Colbs. :) We then went back to our house and had his favorite meal TACO's! Then cake and Ice Cream! We are so lucky to get a long so good with Colby's mom and step dad that they came over and joined in on the fun too. We had a great night, cobly got a basketball game, Ipod and scriptures and lots of I Tunes gift cards. He is totally into music right now it is a riot! His mom says he is a rock star at rock band at her house. So who know's maybe colby will be the next american idol!! Happy Birthday colbs we love you and are so happy for the great young man you are becoming! We love you!

So I have just been tagged, I have been before, but I just never did it, so I figured I would do this one! Anyway, I just got a new purse so it is not as overloaded as my ones in the past. I don't change bags that often so my stash tends to build up. I have the wallet, planner thx deb ( i would die without it), assorted lip gloss's (I feel like I am a roundy girl even though I rarely put it on! Love you girls!) Camera, cd with year old pictures on it, gum, mints, hand sanitizer. Rylee's dirty socks??? I don't know why, and a baggie of IBU Profen!

Any excuse for a Party!

So Laren was heading off to Vegas for the weekend for a guys trip to watch the SuperBowl so Rylee and I decided to go down to St George with my brother kade and his freind Nate. We were so excited to go see our family and friends down there, its always fun to get together! Thanks for all the fun, sorry we brought down the snow. We of course had to go to the Seafood Buffet in Mesquite, the trip wouldn't have been the same without stuffing ourselves full of seafood! We shopped a little, but mostly just had ping pong and guitar hero battles at Skye and Cody! We even broke ashley away from her busy college life to hang out with her family. Thanks for not thinking we are not cool enough ash! Thanks for hosting such a great party skye and thanks Nat for letting us be your first house guests! I promise it won't be the last. I can't express how lucky I am to have such a great family, I love you all!

Brad Paisley

So last thursday night Janean, Kade, Ali, Calvin and I and a friend of Calvin's (sorry I forgot her name) went to the Brad Paisley concert. It was so great, Janean and I had great seats and I think we both fell in love again that night with the opening act.... Ladies if you don't know who Chuck Wicks is you better check him out. He is talented and gorgeous! My camera battery was dying so I only got a few pictures in and not a great one of Chuck, but oh I have pictures in my memory to last me a life time! Thanks guys for a great time!

So it has taken us a few months, but we have figured out that we are just not good dog people! We are gone way to much and a puppy deserves more attention than we can give him. So we are giving him back to his previous owner, which actually seems happy to get him back. Our kids were sad for a minute and I imagine they will be for a couple days when he goes this week but then they will get over it. Rylee has already moved onto the next pet! A Fish! Why didn't she decide that to begin with! Anyway he has been fun but it will be a relief not to have to worry about him all day long!

Wiped Clean!

So I finally decided to update my blog to some cute scrap book type paper! I am not very computer savy so this is a big thing to me! Anyway I did and what do you know it erased all my pictures.........I was so upset and haven't blogged since.
Okay now I am over it! Thanks for all your comments on the cute picture above! I think its pretty darn precious! My brother in law took some family pictures while we were in Idaho over the christmas break. They had tons of snow and it was all I could do to get some pictures without a snowball in the face. They turned out nice, it was a little bright so a lot of squinting eyes!
So does anyone love to watch the beginning of American Idol???????? I don't like the regular show but I love the Tryouts! I don't think I have ever laughed that hard. Some people are blessed with some real talent or at least they think so! No Shame!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and an excellent New Year! We stayed pretty busy over the holiday break. It was nice to have Laren home over all of the Christmas break. We didn't have our kids this year for Christmas so it was a little more laid back and relaxed. Well it would have been if I would have had all my wrapping done, but good thing Santa took care of most of that all night Christmas Eve! Anyway , we picked up the kids Christmas Day afternoon and went back to our house to see what Santa left for them there. Lets just say I think Santa had a raise this year or he left lots of other kids presents at our house by mistake! They had a great time. Rylee's favorite was her talking robotic Parrot, and her Rodeo horses! Colby's favorite was his PSP and Steelers stuff!
We went that weekend to Idaho to visit Larens Family as well. It is always fun to go and stay with them. The kids love playing with there cousins there. They had lots of snow and had a wonderful cold day sledding at the gravel pit!
We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and hope that this year brings all of you and them much happiness!

I have had such a fun week, Rylee's Birthday, Going out with friends and getting totally ready for Christmas. I am done with my shopping and what 8 days to go! The only thing I haven't done is get Christmas cards ordered or sent. There is still time I know, but it might not happen this year we will see!
Also I am having a Shoe party on Wed the 19th out at my home. Open house from 6:30-8:00. They have lots of inexpensive, very cute women's and children's shoes, especially little girls. So come on out! Send me a message if you would like to come and I would love to give you directions.

So I have been such a slacker, I am sorry. I like everyone I know is crazy busy during this time of year! CHRISTMAS is my favorite! I hope you all are doing well this wonderful time of year and enjoy the CHRISTMAS Spirit!

THANKSGIVING!!

I love Thanksgiving! Not just for the food, but for the feeling that comes with it. I try to emphasize to my kids that we are so lucky to have everything we have and that we need to be thankful everyday for what we have been blessed with. I am thankful for family. My cousin Cody and his wife Erin and kids Keegan and Chloe came and stayed a couple of days before Turkey Day. We loved having them and I am thankful there kids made it out of there without losing a finger to my dog. I hope they will come back! It was fun to visit and hang out with my cousin. Erin thanks for the visits, I promise to not try to run you over next time! How embarrassing, I felt so bad!
Thanksgiving day we went over to my moms all my brothers and sisters and in-laws were there, (I think of them as Brothers and sisters too!) It was so fun to hang out. Thanks Mom for all your hard work and wonderful food! You never get enough credit for all you do, and I hope you know how truly thankful we all are for all you do!
My family made up this crazy fear factor card game and I am still dry heaving at the smell of Vinegar! I love my family and the fun stupid games we come up with !
Laren and I got up early Friday to attempt shopping, we were quite disappointed. Even if we did find anything we were not going to wait around in the crazy lines to buy it. So the only successful store was Tai-Pan for my Christmas tree ornaments. Thanks Babe for being so patient and such a great shopper!
I got my new 12 foot Christmas tree up on Saturday and fully decorated! I think it turned out pretty good! The kids came back on Sunday and we decorated our other tree and the house on Monday night for family night. That was fun. I just hope I can make my home feel as festive as my mom's . I always love being home at Christmas and hope my kids will feel the same!
Anyway sorry for the novel I will get better at weekly updates but that was a busy week! All in all I am so thankful for my health, family and all that I have been blessed with. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving also !

Lazy Days!

I finally got pictures posted, I am so excited. Hopefully my blog skills will just get better and better over time :)
I just wanted to say what a great weekend I have had, I got to go out with my girl friends on Friday night, and hung out with at my mom's and played with my sisters that came home from St. George on saturday and had a crazy day in nursery today. Anyway I am just so thankful to have the family and friends that I have. At this time of year I start to get a little sentimental about the people and things around me and how lucky I am to be so blessed with so many good things and people in my life. I hope you all have a Happy Thanks Giving!

We are the Boyce Family. Laren, MacKenzie, Colby & Rylee and our newest member Grizz! We have been a family now for two and a half years We live in Eagle Mountain Utah and have been there for two years. We love it there. We have a beautiful home, wonderful neighbors and great friends. The kids are busy with school and love there teachers. Colby is in 3rd grade this year and Rylee is in Kindergarten. They both are so smart and funny. Colby is into playing X-Box, playing with friends and Scouts! Rylee is into playing with friends, Gymnastics and playing with friends! She is the social butterfly of our home.

We hope you enjoy this update on our lives, its so hard to stay in touch with everyone and you all know bad I am about calling, so I hope you check this often to get updated on our little family. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you our Family and Friends.
